Supported by To Octavia // Banks Arcade
Doors at 08:30pm

Melbourne-based, five-piece metal band Pridelands are thrilled to announce their brand new single, Heavy Tongue on their new label home, Resist Records.

Heavy Tongue follows their 2019 single, Dark Sources. It was written by Pridelands, produced by Jamie Marinos and Pridelands, mixed by George Lever at G1 Productions UK (Loathe, Sleep Token) and mastered by Ermin Hamidovic at Systematic Productions AUS (Architects, Northlane, Periphery).

Heavy both instrumentally and in terms of its message, this song shines a harsh spotlight on the corruption and mismanagement of the devastating bushfires that raged through Australia from 2019 to 2020. An ominous drone introduces the song, like a shame spiral spewing forth rapidfire riffs and pelting drums.

Pridelands will grace the stage at The Evelyn Hotel on Friday 9th July to celebrate the single. Joining them will beTo Octavia and Banks Arcade.
