The magnificent new single 'New Mexico,' comes from awesome Aussie duo MEKL - the lead single off the pair's highly anticipated debut album scheduled for later this year.

Teaming up with renowned producer extraordinaire Edwin White, MEKL wrote this remarkable song which lyrically explores a distinctly relatable topic of the feelings coming out of a bad relationship that are often difficult to navigate. It oozes that inspirational atmosphere giving overt courage to listeners in similar situations who need 'New Mexico's emancipation boost.

The single is an ingenious fusion of genres which directly plucks elements from Folk, Pop and Rock and culminates in a rich melting pot of sonic bliss - laden with beautifully melodic harmonies that reflect their endearing, dynamic personalities. 'New Mexico,' is certainly a charming fresh find and an extremely promising sign for the band's debut album this year.

Formerly known as Miss Eileen & King Lear, MEKL are a brother-sister powerhouse team hailing from Australia's sunny Melbourne which is famed for producing music icons such as Olivia Newton John, Kylie Minogue & Gotye. Given the city's reputation, it's no surprise that this duo are definitely on their way to making the same inroads as the previously aforementioned superstars. What started out as a simple side project from Eileen & Lear's main project of the band Perch Creek has now blossomed into a solid outfit that the pair are immensely proud of.

To date, MEKL already have accumulated a mass following across Australia along with a broad spectrum of notable accolades including: performances at several major Aussie festivals, an international tour and support slots with infamous artists - The Lumineers, Gin Wigmore, All Our exes Live In Texas. and many more. MEKL are long on their way to reshaping the face of Australian music and are more or less guaranteed success in all of their future musical ventures
