February. No one talks up February. January gets all the love whilst February is seen as the monthly equivalent of your slightly inappropriate Uncle that you have to make excuses for to your mates because he used to be okay but then he had that thing happen at work and the Missus left and look, he’s just been spending way too much time on the internet.
That’s what February was but times done changed because THIS February at The Evelyn every Sunday you’ll be visited by those Funky Knights in Disco Coated Armour™, Jump Rope who’ll be offering to you, the good punters of Melbourne, a healthy serve of their own unique blend of funk and soul smothered in disco.
In early 2020 we were about to hurl a bucketful of funky goodness in all directions but the old obvious got us tangled up just as we were ready to leap. But that was then and this is now and we’ve got some much needed jumping to catch up on!
Cramming 10 members on stage, Jump Rope will be belting out a set of their own tasty originals with the odd cover thrown in, all of which are seasoned to perfection using Jump Rope’s very own secret spices. Also nutmeg.
So break out your dancing shoes and prepare to boogie the night away because damn straight Melbourne, you’ve earnt it.
