Naarm/Melbourne alternative metal/metalcore act Future Static are heading to Europe in September & October for their first ever international shows. Post ‘Gasolina’ and in true Static’ spirit, an ‘EU Send Off Party’ at The Evelyn on Friday September 8 is in order. This show will be of much larger significance, with all to be revealed soon…
Now one Australia’s most talked about breakthrough heavy acts, a slew of sold out hometown shows in tow, and an unbeatable live performance that leaves audiences craving more, Future Static hit town to play a monumental one-off headline show, right before taking on the world. Come send off FS in style!
Future Static recently made an unexpected, yet electrifying turn with the turbo charged, metal fuelled cover of Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee’s 2004 global hit, ‘Gasolina’, with its high octane music video revving over 115k YouTube views and counting, and it’s sold out Melbourne launch show smashing Cherry Bar to bits. The release of ‘Gasolina’ doubled as the culmination of Future Static’s meteoric growth and artistic vision following the band’s recruitment of Barcelona raised singer Amariah Cook in 2021, and her acclaimed debut singles ‘Waves’ (2021) and ‘Venenosa’ (2022). Led by their electric front-woman, backed by the band’s swagger and blazing rock fury, experiencing Future Static evolved into an aural and visual explosion of seismic proportions.
On the live front, the group have taken Australia by storm including festival performances at Knight & Day, Unify Forever, Unify Off The Record, Alpha Wolf’s CVLTFEST, performing at Bigsound to high industry praise, plus being hand-picked as special guests for Eurovision alumni Voyager, Jinjer (UKR), Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (USA), RedHook, Caligula’s Horse, Windwaker, Circles, and Bloom, just to name a few. With debut international tour dates incoming - including performances at this year’s Reeperbahn and Euroblast festivals in Germany (plus more to be announced soon), 2023 is shaping up to be nothing short of explosive for Future Static.
Future Static will be joined on stage by Meanjin/Brisbane based heavy act Wildheart. Fronted by Proud Yugambeh man Axel Best, Wildheart passionately advocate for open conversation and action surrounding mental health, social injustice, and discrimination. Wildheart take on an incredibly important role in speaking up about the issues affecting the communities and people around them. They are truly a live act to watch out for. Opening proceedings are Naarm/Melbourne energetic, alternative rock band Everlyne. Led by the soaring powerhouse vocals of Mackenzie Shaye, rising above a backdrop of heavy-hitting, driving instrumentation from her three counterparts.
Future Static are primed to make a lasting impression on the global stage, bringing its visceral fusion of heavy and alternative sub-genres to the world at large. In other words, don’t miss FS at The Evelyn, before shit gets real!
