’Twas the week before Halloween, and the spirit of television is loose once again at The Evelyn Hotel!
Join Igor and the Golden Scissor Puppets for a night of live music with special guests BABY OUZO & MYSTERY DAUGHTER, puppetry, loud and peculiar entertainment and things that probably should not be allowed to happen on stage or on television.
We’re heading to the graveyard, down into the tombs, through the crypts and directly into the coffins to explore the true spirit of Halloween.
Expect rare and unusual happenings, bizarre things, things that’ll make you scratch your head, scratch your butt and sniff your finger, and things that’ll make you spin in your grave before you’ve even died.
Featuring two incredible live bands, one very special wildcard act, Igor, Master, and a whole bunch of puppets and heaps of skits and segments from the puppets and the freaks.
After years of performing in theatres, bars, raves, clubs, house parties, festivals and, most recently, funerals, GSP are bringing our chaotic DIY theatre directly to you, dear audience, as we hold a vigil for a time gone by. A time when the TV ruled the home.
GSPTV is for anyone who’s ever been bored at a gig, overwhelmed by the seriousness of a "scene", or disturbed by the door price when there’s only boy bands on stage.
It’s an attempt to resurrect the lost art of appointment television. The weird shows you watched as a kid. The strange characters. The unsettling puppets. Remember when cartoons used to have a scary episode?
This is for you, who has no need for the cool or the trendy. This is for you, who has ever felt on the outside. You’re not a satellite drifting through here. You can be part of our really cracked solar system.
